Our extra-large builders bulk bag of sawmill offcuts are a mixture of kiln dried and air dried (seasoned) offcuts from our on site sawmill production.
With a lower moisture content than alternative firewood options, these offcuts are guaranteed to burn slowly, creating a longer lasting flame with very little smoke.
Primarily offcuts from our oak production with a few offcuts from our softwood production too, you will find a random mixture of both kiln and seasoned wood, all cut to manageable lengths making them perfect for immediate use on log burners, stoves and chimineas - an economy firewood that will provide you with hours of heat at an affordable price.
Available in loosely filled extra-large builders bulk bags (approximately 1.6m3).
To encourage air flow around your offcuts, we recommend that you store them in a raised log store or on a pallet to keep your logs away from moist ground. We do not recommend stacking them up against a wall or placing them on grass, as air won't be able to flow and the logs can become damp.
For ease when building your fire, we recommend our boxes/nets of kindling and our Ecofire Natural Firelighters.
