Seasoned softwood firewood, often referred to as air-dried softwood logs is one of the most popular types of firewood available due to its ability to light quickly, its exceptional heat output and affordable price.
Our bulk bags of seasoned softwood firewood logs consist of primarily spruce, pine and larch - not only will the seasoning of the wood offer you a longer burn time to that of unseasoned firewood, but as you can imagine these species create an incredible autumnal smell when burning, making them perfect for use on open fires, wood burners and multi-fuel stoves through the colder months.
The logs are cut to approximately 20cm and split to allow them to dry most effectively.
These builders bags of softwood firewood contain at least 90% softwood. Being produced alongside our hardwood production, there may be a possibility of some hardwood being present.
Available in loosely filled extra-large builders bulk bags (approximately 1.6m3).
To encourage air flow around your logs, we recommend that you store them in a raised log store or on a pallet to keep your logs away from moist ground. We do not recommend stacking them up against a wall or placing them on grass, as air won't be able to flow and the logs can become damp.
For ease when building your fire, we recommend our boxes/nets of kindling and our Ecofire Natural Firelighters.
