A 1m3 bulk bag of kiln dried hardwood firewood, between 18 - 25% moisture. A consistently dry firewood for consistently perfect results each time you light the fire!

Kiln dried firewood generally contains less moisture than air dried seasoned firewood, the moisture content in seasoned firewood varies depending on the conditions in which it is stored and how long it has been drying for, kiln dried wood eliminates any of that uncertainty. Green oak (fresh cut) can contain up to 80% water, all that water needs to be boiled off before any heat can escape to your room!

Approximate log length is 25cm, suitable for most fireplaces and log burners!

Remember! Burning undried, unseasoned wood can seriously damage your wealth!

Use kiln dried birch to start the fire!

UK Our kiln dried hardwood firewood is primarily ash, oak and birch. Birch although a hardwood is less dense than most other hardwoods and therefore lights more easily and reaches temperature very quickly. When you receive your firewoodandlogs kiln dried firewood you can tell which of the logs is birch by weight (it will weigh the least) and the bark which is a silvery colour and generally quite flaky. Although you can start and enjoy your fire with any of the quality kiln dried logs that we supply, birch will get you up to temperature fastest!
